Project: "Quick Draft" Game System
Need: The Client wanted to create an online Fantasy Draft game that could be concluded
within a 24 hour period instead of the typical season long format. The idea was to provide the ability to pick players from teams which are scheduled to play games within the next 24 hours and base the outcome of the draft game on whose team’s statistical performance is superior. Needed to accomplish this goal was the integration of the live data feed, e-commerce capability for users to compete for cash prizes, an comprehensive game management system for the
administrator and customer support staff, an internal social media platform so that users could post personal information and share with friends as well as create tribes, post in forums and all the other typical social media functions.
Solution: Saltmine worked with the Sports Draft Daily team to design and develop a web based game “Quick Draft” which could provide even the casual sports enthusiast with a simple and easy game format to participate in and have a realistic chance of winning even against seasoned fantasy sports competitors. In Quick Draft, users can compete head to head or against multiple users for larger cash prizes and there are tools that help the user make wise picks such as the compare player feature and up to the minute news and player stats on any player in NFL, MLB,
NHL and NBA. The application also includes a comprehensive Administration System for the creation and deployment of new draft games, customer service, analytics and social media
management.
